Troy Billen, Assistant Vice President

In addition to being a skilled off-road rider, Troy is one of the most trusted F&I advisors in the country, bringing proven results to the Powersports and Automotive Industries for over 30 years. Employed by some of the top leaders in the Powersports Industry, including Chaparral Motorsports, Troy quickly became known for his expertise as a Finance Manager/Director. With his proven knowledge and objective perspective, Troy quickly developed processes to overcome barriers and to expand finance departments to maximize growth opportunities for dealerships. After obtaining multiple benchmarks in the industry, Troy was recruited by a powersports company in 1999 to consult with principals, sales and finance departments on the essentials of maximizing growth opportunities in the F&I department. Troy was able to grow the brand on a national level while assisting dealers on the full utilization and benefit of these departments. He has been asked to speak at multiple industry events such as AIM Expo, Dealer Expo, and contributed to multiple articles for Powersports Business.

Troy studied business at Northern Colorado University, is an avid lifelong motorcycle rider, and past competitive racer and Enduro circuit participant. He has completed five Colorado 500 events and multiple charity event rides. In particular, Troy has enjoyed the opportunity to ride with such notable personalities as Hall of Famer Malcom Smith on many occasions.

Ryan Nowakowski, Territory Sales Manager

Ryan Nowakowski cut his teeth in a Powersports dealership working for his father, Ray Nowakowski, who was president and co-owner of Golden Gate Cycles in San Francisco, California and active as both the president and a board member of the California Motorcycle Dealers Association (CMDA). Ultimately, Ryan Nowakowski became the general manager of Golden Gate Cycles before joining an independent service contract company as a sales manager. Having an F&I background, Ryan brings real world experience for our dealer partners helping them achieve higher levels of F&I profits. He is well versed in every aspect of the dealership and sales processes; his approach is comfortable, straightforward, uncomplicated and extremely effective.

Ryan is a proud husband and father of two young children. In his off time you will find him relaxing with his family or out on his fishing boat looking for the next big catch.

Dana Yorba, Inside Sales Manager

Dana was born into a powersports family – literally. Dana was lucky enough to have been raised in a family-owned powersports dealership, working in all dealership departments and gaining a true sense of what it takes to make a dealership successful. She has a commitment to best practices and is dedicated to continual learning and increased knowledge. After college, she joined the L Corporation based out of Ohio, directly contributing to development of their Recruit, Train, and Promote program for their multiple retail divisions: Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, and Express. Being promoted to the West Coast Region as RTP director, Dana once again transitioned roles to a retail director being recognized as one of the top selling managers in the corporation. Returning to her motorcycle roots in 2011, she joined a powersports company and implemented a dealership training program and multiple processes for the dealer base. She has developed multiple online and in-store dealer training sessions and put together many successful DealerExpo, AIMExpo and dealership events.

Dana and her family still ride today enjoying the terrain in the Sierra-Nevada Mountains and deserts of California. Powersports is in her DNA.

Connie Thiessen Page, Claims Manager

You don’t get more motorcycling heritage than Connie. After a hugely successful racing career with wins at the first San Jose mile, the 5-mile national championship in Portland, Oregon and races across the country, Connie’s father, Eugene Thiessen, set three land speed records on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1951. This is where Connie comes from. Connie has been riding motorcycles since the age of 5, working in her family owned powersports dealer since her teenage years and has traveled to Switzerland, Santo Domingo, Taiwan, British Columbia and Japan to help organize and run motorcycle races and shows. So it really should be no surprise to learn that Connie and her husband tied the knot on their PWCs in Lake Mead at a ceremony where the owner of the local powersports dealer walked her down the aisle.

With multiple mechanical certifications and over eight years of experience overseeing service contract and related claims prior to joining Aegis Powersports, your claims experience with Connie will truly be world-class.

Greg Page, Senior Claims Specialist

Greg has been moving fast his entire life. Growing up, Greg’s grandfather built a waterski lake and water park, followed by a motor cross track that was sanctioned by the AMA. At the early age of 10, Greg took to racing everything from go-karts and PWCs to motor cross. Greg competed in the Barstow to Vegas desert motorcycle races, the Long Beach to Catalina Island PWC races and even the Iron Man 300-mile PWC race in Parker, Arizona. Needless to say, all the racing led to plenty of repairs. Between his work in powersports dealerships and racing experience, Greg has received certifications from Yamaha, Suzuki, Can-Am, Honda and Kawasaki to name a few. Now Greg harnesses his speed and experience to handle claims for Aegis Powersports at lightning speed, a skill he honed for eight years at another national service contract company. If you have a chance to chat with Greg for a few minutes, you’re in for a treat – he knows every bit of our service contracts just as well as he knows every bit of the engines and units they cover.

Jeff Kenny, Vice President, Dealer Products

With a quick wit and two graduate degrees, Jeff has made the smart transition from professional student to professional wage earner. But Jeff’s disarming jokes belie his razor sharp business acumen. With over 10 years of experience in product management focusing on Finance & Insurance (F&I) products for powersports dealers, Jeff helped build one of the most successful independent service contract companies in the country. Jeff leapt into the insurance industry with a four-year stint at the California Department of Insurance before joining a service contract corporation in 2002. Harnessing his regulatory experience, Jeff became a Vice President of this company, expanding the company from its California roots to becoming one of the nation’s largest independent suppliers of dealer F&I products to powersports dealers. Jeff loves finding the next great business idea, but failing that a good joke is always welcomed.

Jeff received his Political Science degree from Santa Clara University, his Masters in Public Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University and his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law.

Tim Summers, President

Tim has over 25 years of experience in personal lines insurance operations and regulatory affairs that includes serving as a Deputy Commissioner for the California Department of Insurance and later as the President of Pacific Specialty Insurance Company (PSIC) through 2012. Tim wrote and executed on the original business plan for PSIC when it was formed in 1989, taking it from a newly formed carrier to a national P&C company, admitted in all states with an A.M. Best rating of “A” and three consecutive inclusions on the Ward’s “Top 50” P&C carriers in the United States. Tim’s experience and attention to detail have earned him an outstanding reputation in the industry as a leading executive with a team that has eagerly worked with him for decades.

Tim holds a degree in Finance from Creighton University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law.

David Sacks, Chief Financial Officer

David Sacks is a seasoned insurance professional who has held roles as both CFO and Chief Risk Officer of an insurance company with experience in developing corporate strategies, directing accounting operations and improving financial practices. David has demonstrated repeated success in achieving organizational goals and brokering complex situations both internally and externally that extends well beyond corporate accounting to all aspects of reinsurance, catastrophe risk exposure control and portfolio management.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Robert Large, Senior Vice President, Products & Marketing

An avid fan of all things BBQ, Robert is an insurance geek at heart and has spent the last 20 years diving into the depths of insurance regulation, product development and marketing. In 1995, Robert became the first Ombudsman at the California Department of Insurance, handling special projects aimed at streamlining services for insurance carriers, producers and consumers. As part of the Commissioner’s Executive Staff, Robert was one of the principal liaisons for the State of California at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). In 2000, Robert joined Pacific Specialty Insurance Company as a product manager, ultimately becoming the Vice President of Product Development, overseeing insurance and non-insurance products, market conduct exams and marketing. Robert’s experience extends to all aspects of product and exposure management, with an emphasis on residential property insurance.

Robert holds a degree in Business Management from San Jose State University as well as his producer insurance license as a resident of California with non-resident licenses in most other states.
